Vanessa Seedless Grape (Vitis labrusca ‘Vanessa’) is an early– to mid-season red, seedless table grape that forms medium-sized, oblong clusters of firm berries with a crunchy, non-slipskin texture and a sweet, fruity flavour. In spring, the vine is smothered in white blossoms, replaced by lush green foliage through summer. Fruit ripens in September for fresh eating, jams or juice. Developed in Ontario and hardy to –20 °F (USDA Zones 5–9), it’s one of the hardiest red cultivars with excellent resistance to cracking and common grape diseases. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it’s perfect for arbors, trellises or home vineyards in Canada Zones 4–9. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
