Blueberry ‘Patriot’ (Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Patriot’) is a vigorous highbush cultivar prized for its early– to mid-season crop of large, firm, light-blue berries that are easy to pick. In late spring it’s smothered in delicate white blossoms, followed by glossy green foliage that often turns fiery red in autumn. Thriving in full sun on well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–5.5), it reaches 1.2–1.5 m tall and wide. Hardy in Canadian zones 3–7, it’s self-pollinating but benefits from nearby cultivars for even heavier yields.
