Amsonia ‘Blue Ice’ (Amsonia tabernaemontana ‘Blue Ice’) is a compact, clump‐forming perennial prized for its tidy habit and striking spring blooms. In late spring to early summer, its fine, blue‐green foliage is blanketed with sky‐blue, star‐shaped flowers, creating a soft haze of colour. In autumn, the leaves transition to a glowing gold, adding seasonal interest. Thriving in full sun to part shade and preferring moist, well‐drained soil, ‘Blue Ice’ is low‐maintenance and attracts butterflies and bees. Hardy in Canadian zones 3–9, it makes an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens or mass plantings.
